No one ever thinks they’ll be the ones to do these things wrong. It’s always only when something IS done wrong that we all get to prove that we are capable of doing things right and humbly and with full responsibility. It’s all so sad to watch.

TNE member here. Most of us didn’t even know about the investigation until TNE Reckoning went live. Tim has a lot of work to do to keep from becoming another Travis Kalanick. Remember, Kalanick’s main failure was not recognizing that Uber wasn’t just a startup anymore, but a major corporation.

Re good intentions, I posted this recently: How much pastoral abuse could be avoided if, instead of only focusing on good intentions to help (beneficence), pastors also focused on intending to do no harm (non-malfeasance)? There is a world of difference between harming someone unintentionally and intentionally doing no harm.

As a counselor, this is ethics 101. Pretty basic.
